We're Ready for Summer.

This past week has been warm enough to get us
in the summer mood. We are very fortunate to have the wind every night as well. (Sarcasm) We got a new basketball hoop for Easter and Brian and Michael got it set up this past weekend. Chase and Colby have loved played Basketball. They take turns being the Jazz and the Rockets, but it seems that there is no team loyalty.
Whoever wins on TV that night is the team that they both want to be the next time they play. They are so funny. Here are a few pics of the boys doing what they do best - play!!

I just had to include this picture of Colby "Mud Buggin" -
I've told him that its actually "Bogging" but He just
laughs and tells Brian that I don't know what I'm talking about.
He thinks He is the Big Time. He actually tells Brian the
condition of the mud after he's gone through it!
(I think it's pathetic really, but maybe I just don't get it!!!)

No More Waste!!

I record Oprah everyday on the DVR. Usually they just get deleted, but occasionally there is a show worth watching. Well today we watched one on Wasteful Families who were challenged to live with only the bare necessities:
-1 Hour of either TV, Computer, Video Games daily.

-No Eating out.

-House Temperature had to stay at 70 Degrees.

-Turn off lights when not in use.

-Only fix one meal for all people in the house at meal time - no picky eaters.

-Eat leftovers when there is leftovers.

-No Paper towels, plates, or cups.

After watching this episode Brian and I felt inspired to try some of these things in our home. We can be guilty of letting the kids watch to much television and Play Video Games from time to time. So we held a little Family council and went over the new rules with the kids. Colby and Cooper said no problem. (Which in all reality it probably will be no problem for them!) But Chase had some very different emotions on the subjects discussed. Just look at the pictures - they really say it all!! :)

Disneyland Vacation

Boys and Their Toys

*I'm not sure how Coop see's a thing with those googles,
but he claims that he has got to have 'em on!*
Brian bought the boys a brand new 4-wheeler this past week. I'm still not quite sure what the special occasion was? The kids sure think it's pretty hot though. In fact, we only had it for an hour before finding out how fast it could go - a whopping 37mph to be exact. I practically saw their little lives flash before my eyes. The governor is now set to 15mph - needless to say I'm not their favorite in the 4-wheeler division these days. Hey, somebody has to be a responsible adult around this place.

Kite Flying - Chase Style

The boys all got new kites for Easter. We went outside to fly them and guess what? No Wind!! Imagine that in March. So Chase came up with a brilliant idea to make his own wind with little or no effort on his part (I don't want to tell where he gets his lack of ambition from :) So he had Colby chauffeur him around the field. It actually worked quite well and they had a blast!!

Relaxin' In the Summer Sun!

Cooper's 3rd Birthday Party

We went bowling for Cooper's birthday..... notice the bowling ball. He was posing for his picture and the bowling ball hadn't even made it to the pins yet. What can we say, He LOVES the camera. Everyone had alot of fun including Grandma & Grandpa.

I'm not quite sure what the fun is all about in putting your face in your Birthday cake, but it has started to become somewhat of a tradition in our family. We watched an AFV a couple of months ago with a whole collage of people putting their faces in cakes, and when Colby's Birthday came he just couldn't resist - and well i guess the rest is Birthday cake history :)

Cooperation..... or better yet, the lack there of:).

I tried to take pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits before church and they would not cooperate. Chase looks good in one, Colby in another and Cooper just didn't want to be outside.... he knew his Easter basket was waiting in the house!
